Quarter Mile canopies use a cantilevered frame design with no vertical uprights to create a work or merchandising space free from obstructions. They can project up to 15 feet from the side of the trailer and require at least 3 feet of additional trailer height beyond the minimum canopy clearance.

Quarter Mile canopies use a cantilevered frame with no vertical uprights, so the covered space stays open, which matters if you and your team need a space where support posts will get in the way. However, if you need coverage beyond 15 ft, Grand Prix and Hospitality canopies use vertical uprights to reach up to 30 ft, at the cost of posts within the covered area.

Because there are no vertical uprights to help distribute the weight of the canopy and forces from wind and weather, a cantilevered structure requires solid trailer-side connection points. This means that the anchoring and proper fitment are very important to get right, and we’ll work with you to determine the best approach for your specific trailer during the ordering process.

For the Quarter Mile Canopies, the quick-release spinnaker fittings and installation zipper flap are built to speed up both setup and teardown without requiring tools. Because there are fewer components involved, these canopies can be a faster choice depending on your team’s needs.

Yes, Eide Race Canopies solid and mesh fabrics meet CPAI-84 fire retardancy standards, which is what most sanctioned motorsports venues check for during paddock and pit inspection. Flame certificates are provided with each solid and mesh fabric order. The clear vinyl pieces are not fire retardant.

Often, yes, and a change in projection depth doesn’t always require a full canopy rebuild. If your sponsor lineup changes mid-season, your fabric will need reprinting, but the frame will stay the same, which makes for faster production times.
